Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
Study it, read it out loud over and over, dissect it word by word, find what it means. Look in the text around it in your bibles or on Bible.com or somewhaere. Look it up in commentaries online or in print. Ask questions. It may seem simple, but dig deeper. Memorize it.

luke 12:23 For life is more than food, and the body than clothing.
luke 12:24 consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; and they have no store room nor barn; and yet god feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!

How beautiful! The Bible is full of gems like this, telling us not to worry. I am beginning to recognize a theme in our memory verses. They all say that God will feed us, directly from his own mouth! One says that we should not worry because we are valuable to Almighty God and He will care for us, another that sometimes He will lead us into times of hunger, bad times, but even then He will care for us when we do not worry and depend only on Him. Another says that we shouldn't worry so much about food because life is so much more! He has so much more than food and clothes to offer us! A body which can be used as His temple, the nourishing breath of God, and a full, wonderful life, even if it is full of sorrows! How beautiful! Another verse says that we should listen carefully to God's voice. But think, it says "Listen carefully to the thunder..." How carefully do you need to be listening to hear thunder?! It seems as though thunder would be easy to hear, but we have to listen carefully, which involves sitting still and quietly and waiting on it, searching it out with your ears! God's word is beautiful and will feed us! Feast upon it daily and memorize it, hiding in your heart the words Jesus says when he tells you that you mean everything to God and He should mean everything to you! Love, Veta

keeping with the same theme, albeit from native american lore... An old Native American grandfather told his grandson, "There are two wolves fighting inside all of us -- the wolf of fear and hate, and the wolf of love and peace." The grandson asked, "Which one will win?" The grandfather replied, "The one we feed." wolf of peace wolf of hate art by john nieto
